Hi David,

I was finally able to complete the benchmark on bother machines test you suggested. I will email the task manager screen shots and rendering jpg as directed. Please let me know if you need anything else to evaluate.

Hello Todd,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. The older version of IRender should not be holding the new PC back (there is a setting that you can use to restrict the number of cores used for rendering, but we doubt that would be set). It seems odd that the rendering is "noticeably slower" on the new PC. The new PC is an upgrade, but while the memory and cores increased, it's a 1.8 while the old PC was 3.5.

Ideally, it would help us if you could provide a benchmark. If you could send (send to support@renderplus.com)) a screen capture of Task Manager with the Performance ->CPU tab running during a rendering we may be able to get a better idea (if you could do this on both the old and new machines, great).

Additionally, again if the user still has the software running on the old machine, could you render the same model on both each for 20 passes. On both machines after the rendering stops at 20 passes, save the images as .jpg's and send them to us (support@renderplus.com). We can then compare the performance.

Regards,
