How do you control shadows when you use the HDRi sky + Background preset? When I use it, either the shadows are gone, or at some other angle than in the SketchUp file.

An HDRI sky will have it's own location for the sun (if it has a sun). You would need to rotate the HDRi sky until the shadows line up with what you see in SketchUp. We don't have a tool to try to automatically rotate the HDRi sky for you, to put it's bright spot in line with the SketchUp Sun. That would be handy.
You can have the Sun and Sky both set to be on and then you would get the shadows from the Sun that would match SketchUp. You can adjust the Sun and Sky intensity on the Options/Sky tab, if you need to make the Sun stronger than the Sky.
Thank you!
