System SMPS Burnt while rendering

Hi Rich Hart,

                 Irender is a awesome rendering Engine. I have been using it for a while. I use sketchup for modelling. I have a problem. My Desktop SMPS (Power supply) has burnt twice in a weeks time while rendering.  Also my system runs heavy as soon as i start the rendering process. It gets heated up. Is there any setting in I render do make the system run normal or do i need to upgrade my system. Following is my system configuration

Processor: AMD X4 (64 Bit)

Ram: 4 GB DDR3

Graphic card: ASUS 210 

 Please suggest.
