I'm a little confused about the ability to edit a material within the render window. I had found that a material I was using was too reflective after seeing the initial passes. I'm given the option to "edit material" within that window. What happens when I resume rendering? Will the material on subsequent passes show the difference that my setting changes have made? If not, why is "Edit Material" an option within the render window?

Thanks

The material changes should remain, "stick", when you restart the rendering.

Let us know if that is not happening.

It will not work if you use "Resume Rendering". You have to restart the rendering with the Green Button to resume.

When you return to SketchUp you should get a prompt to load any material changes you made while rendering back into SketchUp.

Ah, not with resume!

Thanks.  At least the geometry doesn't have to load again. I just saw this in the nick of time. Thanks for getting back to me.

This is not happening for me and any edits made in the rendering window are not being saved back to the model. I do remember seeing the prompt when I first started using Irender NXT but no longer - Is there a global setting somewhere that I am missing?

Check this setting to see if it is still set ti ask:
