The latest version-KB03 - 2/3/2011- will automatically use a 64-bit version of the Batch Renderer if you have a 64-bit machine

We also added a checkbox to the support dialog, to switch to 32 bit rendering if you encounter any issues with the 64 bit batch renderer.
64-bit rendering is not faster except for very large models, or very large screen sizes. However if you have a 64-bit machine (and a 64-bit versions of Windows - some 64 bt machines are set up with 32 bit versions of Windows), and 4GB of RAM or more, this will be good to have in case you ever need the extra RAM wile rendering.Note: SketchUp does not have a 64-bit version. However the latest version of SketchUp 8 does use more RAM if it is available which may help with the processing of large models while in SketchUp.
