I don't really understand how the background image is projected. At least in flat mode.
because I use a 1800x1220 image as background of a 1800x1200 render.
both files are attached.
I've converted it to HDRi background, normally supposed to be loaded as planar background.
As you can see by the pixelisation, background is zoomed in. Why?
What relationship can we make between an HDRi image resolution and our rendering image to prevent background pixelisation?
Regards,
Alain

Did you use it as an HDRi planar background, or an HDRi sky?
If you usd it as an HDRi sky, and had a Field of view of 30 degrees, then only 1/12 of the image was used (360/30 degrees) and then blown up.
HDRi skies used as visible skies need to have a resolution of at least 6
times the render width (1,280 x 6 = 7,680) 2X this is best.
ok, good info.
You may precise that point in the doc.
