How can I get notified about new versions?

I just went to the home page and noticed the section about converting an image to a planar HDRI.  I'm on JK09, and I don't see that on my background tab.  Is there already a newer version since I started playing with your program a couple weeks ago?  Do you send out an e-mail notice when there are updates?  Do I need to make a change in my account settings?

Should I receive notification of upgrades? I have tried to find somewhere on the Renderplus web site that would allow me to download a version 3.5 free, but have not been able. Please advise

    We do not automatically advise all users about new versions - perhaps we should.

     

    We could

     

    A: add new users to an email list, automatically for notification of new upgrades (allowing them to opt out), or

     

    B. Include information on how to subscribe to the new versions thread in the License email.

     

    I just looked to see if I could add a poll to our web site - but it doesn't look like I can do it. You might add your opinon to this thread. In the meantime - the way to get notified about new releases is to subscribe to the appropriate thread in this forum category: Product Updates and New Versions
