the following image is from my point of view a bit grany compare to the one shown in the gallery, despite 50 passes so, what parameter is relevent for that?
How many passes usually used?

You need to be a member of Render Plus Software to add comments!
IRender nXt remembers which mode (Packet or Path Tracer) you used last, and uses it the next time. So the "default mode" is our default only the first time, (or if you select "Load Factory Defaults" from the More Setup Tab. Otherwise, most things default to whatever you used last.
Most times the Path Tracer makes a better image, but you need to have the time to let it render.

Not absolutely sure but it seems that JL29 version I just bought is much better than the one I evaluated before Christmas.
I tried 1000 passes in path trace mode, which seems to be now the default mode and I got a better image.
See this thread: Path Tracer vs Packet Mode
Packet mode after only 88 passes.
It seems this algorythm is really much better and faster no?

Sorry, in the upload file I removed a necessary entity . Normally ceiling is closed.

Ok, file upload successfully to AlbertHart1259549
Image in path trace at 5826 passes.
Ok Al,
Just let me simplify the model.
Here is the image after 4652 passes. Not really that again.
Can you upload your model to the forum, so other can take a look at it.
Or else upload it only to us at Render Plus using the uploads tab at the top of the page, so we can take a look at it?
The number of passes improves the image. However the use of lights, materials, etc. is probably even more important.
Here is the image you linked to in your previous post:
(There is a second tab on the image icon to embed images from the wbe, by URL, to make them easier to see as you are reading a thread)
This image has a lot of lighting, reflective door handles, etc. which add a lot to the appearance of the overall result.
Perhaps some other users could add some advice on how to change the model, adding lights, etc. to get better images.
So ok, if we look at the image posted yesterday at 600 passes and the one posted today at 1750 passes, there is a noticeable difference.
It tooks 19h on my poor Opteron 185, so after 3 weeks, I could get, maybe, this result.
