I'm having some difficulty with the Self Glow and Illuminance features.

Whenever I import an image file (either as material or as an image) and then apply a Self Glow or Illuminance attribute to that image material, it adds a colored hue to the entire material.

I am using Sketchup 8.0.3117 / iRender nXt 3.5 JJ15nxt

(The image is of the typical apple rainbow logo - yet you can see that self glow has colorized the logo).

  • We're not sure just how this happens, but sometimes when we add an attribute to a material definition (such as self glow), the Material gets marked as "colorize" - meaning that its average color is applied to the entire material.

You can fix it by loading the SketchUp color editor and unchecking colorize.

I tried to see just what was causing colorize to get checked, but I couldn't reproduce it.
