Hi,
In the joined image, I'm really surprised to see tat it tooks 7 hours to just render 4 passes !?!
So, I wondered if ceilings lights where not enabled which could, maybe, increase the complexity to mix ceiling lights, sun and sky in that case. What's your opinion?
So, if I well understand the doc, I should have to set "Channels to use" to 3, to just enable Sky, Sun and Self Glow. Right?
But, why do I get 2 Self Glow channels??
I only set the "Self Glow" value for the laptop's screen.

The lamp I used was strangely made.
But in fact, according to some tests, Self Glow doesn't need to enable artificial lightning.
It's the case in the image below
While it is rendering with "enable articficial lighting" turned on, right click the title bar of he rendering window, and click statistics. One line item in the statistics is the number of lights in the drawing. What number is it reporting?
If there are other lights, besides the self glow. You may be able to hide them or put them in layers which you then turn off.
I verified that "Enable Artificial lightning" is responsible of the large rendering time increase.
Without it, I render one pass in 4 minutes. With it, I render a pass 45 minutes.
Well! just for a laptop screen which is not suppose to change anything in the scene as self glow doesn't illuminate other surfaces!
Isn't it possible to do something to not use artificial lightning engine when only Self Glow lights are present or something like that?
Alain.
