SpaceDesign: gloups! Don't understand the concept!!

Hello,

I'm evaluating SpaceDesign for my job and tried to create a wall as a component in a sketchup file, a template I don't care about in fact.

So, I created it like in the joined file.

Basically, I have a component defined as a DC where I can define attributes like length, width, thickness, etc...

When the job is done, I'm supposed to rigth click on the component to "save as..." it to be able to import it as a useable component for which I can access its attributes.

But, if I want to add SpaceDesign attributes to use them in a model, to report  all defined walls, their length, etc..., I have a problem because your attributes are stored in the model and not in the component so , in the template file I used to create my component but not in the component itself.

If now I load the component, by loading the component file, I'll be able to create spaceDesign's attributes but I'll lose all DC attributes.

So, I don't understand how to deal with that !?!
