Unable to render!

Hi all,

When I try to render a skp file it renders the image as blank grey image!

This happens on several models! I have tryed re-installing Irender but it keeps happening!

I've tryed uploading the model but I think the file is too large!

Could someone shed some light on this please?

Many thanks

Kimi

I think the problem is that you camera is just behind a wall.

SketchUp has a "clipping plane" which ignores all geometry close to the camera (in this case, the wall). No-one seems to know exactly where SketchUp places the clipping plane. This is why sometimes when you zoom in on something in SketchUp it disappears. (See this thread on SketchUcation)

In this case, SketchUp is ignoring the wall - but we are seeing it (or perhaps are actually inside of two sides of the wall). Move a little further into the room and you will probably be able to see the geomtry.

If you need the camera behind the wall, you can set a section plane at the wall, back the camera up and still see into the room.

  • Hi Al,

The model that it keeps happening too is very large so unable to up load it!

Is there another way I can upload this model?

    Thanks

Upload a small model we can try.

What version are you using. (There are some things messed up in the Brightness slider for the latest Beta version)

Check the Tone Operator settings. (Both the brightness and saturation could make an image grey)
