There can be some models which are slow to extract.

I understand that larger models take longer top extract but I've tried it on models I've rendered before and it's taking much longer, and I mean like 4 or 5 times longer. is it possible that my version of Irender, which is about two years out of date now, just isn't compatible with windows 8? Or is there a setting somewhere that might of changed when I upgraded to windows 8?

Your help with this would be really appreciated as at the speed it's currently extracting it's impossible to get any work done.

  • I have tried that. They all seem far slower, I'm currently rendering a model which is at 28% writing geometry: extract faces 403927 faces, which, for me at least, isn't vey big at all and it's taking about 2 hours.

  • I tried the reinstall and it had no effect, it's still running very slowly.
