Channel suggestion
sure would be cool to be able to call up a channel diaglouge box while in sketchup to create lableing for channels, then be able to select a channel and have sketchup highlight items connected to that channel. Probably asking too much, but I need to keep a written list and I know it will get misplaced. At a minium, maybe be able to notate in the channel dialouge box what items are on what channel

Do you mean lighting channels ? You can change label of lighting channels in the new NXT image editor

You can set the names from the Lights tab whil in SketchUp as well:
