HI,

in RpReports Al gave me the possibility to set a position attribute. I could select several components and give them a number to mark the position in the model. This was alsways set manually which was very good.

I don't know, but if I set a position would it be stored in the model.

Currently all attributes for Components are stored in the component definition (not the instance), and all attributes for groups are stored in the Group Instance (there is no group definition)

I will find a way for use to get the position attribute working. I will review our notes and/or you can should reply with  some suggestions on how it could work best.

I think what I will do here is add a setting for an attribute called "On Instance", which allows the attribute to be defined for a component instance, rather than the definition. Then I will have a right click edit "Edit Instance Attributes" which brings up a menu of just the instance attributes and lets you set them for all selected components.

This might be pretty cool. Thanks for helping.
