I have placed your images inline so we can see them better. 

To do this use the image icon at the top of the edit window, rather than "Upload FIles" below the window.

The "trick" here is to tell the rendering to display the edges of the faces.

Edge Highlighting Cabinet with edges rendered.

Edge Highlighting displays the edges of faces while rendering . This is especially valuable with scenes which contain cabinets or furniture where edge highlighting is necessary to bring out the detail of the components. See; Edge Highlighting

"I even make them 6mm apart and put black infill between."

The infill should have worked. Can you send me a small model with two cabinets separated with infill.
