From a client:

I have been making my own Armaterials and applying them to my Sketchup Model…

My frustration is that what I see in SKetchup , and what ends up being rendered are two different things.

Have tried restoring default materials to my components/groups before applying my irender materials, but results are unpredictable..

Am sending you a finished render as well as a screen capture of what I see in Sketchup.. not the same…

Would like to send you the model, but not sure what the best way is to do this as it is 25MB….Please advise best way to do this.

thankyou

There are a lot of things about ArMaterials which will not look the same in SketchUp as in a rendered image.

When you create a SketchUp material from an ArMaterial, we render the material to create a texture to use as the ArMaterial. But they will not ook much the same.

Select the .ArMaterial which seems the most different, start a new small model, place the ArMaterial on a face in the SketchUp model, and either upload the .SKP file and the images here, or send them to me directly.
