    If you use the path tracer, the caustics will work - but it may take considerable longer to get a rendering without speckles.

    Here is the fish tank model rendered with the Path Tracer rendering option: (3 HRS and about 400 passes)

    Roy reports that Caustics has broken in the Packet Tracer (standard) rendering engine. We will fix it in a few days, For now you cannot use it except with the Path Tracer.
    (The path tracer makes nice caustics, but will take a long time to render.)

    The error is somewhere is the caustics calculations.

    For now remove caustics from the transparent materials.

    I'll see if Roy (the engine developer) can offer some help.
