From a user:

I have a model where all color settings are messed up with illuminations and other settings.

Is there any way to reset all colors before rendering and start from default values?

No, we have never written anything that would do that. We should add a button to do that.

The thing I would do now is clear each material, one material at a time, from our Select Material… dialog.

Materials in the model which have been made reflective, or otherwise changed by us, will have a circle icon. If they are reflective, we add another little circle in the upper left. If they are set to illuminate, they will have a light bulb shape in the icon:

You can then edit each one and select “Clear” to reset them to be simple SketchUp materials again. Note: This won’t reset any color changes back to the original SketchUp colors.

You’ll notice each icon revert to a square after you clear the material.
