Hi Fred

Just curious but why do you need an encapsulated post script file ? with the many various file options\export filters etc around these days its very rare I ever come across the need for an .eps file any more.Effectively as I understand the file type its basically printing to a file with a postscript driver (I may have this wrong). You can certainly save it in Photoshop as an EPS file after importing from one of the other NXT formats - there may be some other freeware image editors out there that will do the same.

Hi Boothy,

Thanks for your reply. The aim I'm trying to achieve is for a friend of mine who wants an image etteched on abit of perspex and the company who does this asked for this format or illastrator format I believe!

Not sure what these are!

Fred
Hi Fred

You can export to an .ai(illustrator file) from photoshop - illustrator is a vector based package ( it can do both but is numero uno vector for desktop publishing) where all of the NXT output is bitmap\pixel based output - A very high res EPS can be used to replicate the quality of line that a vector based programme can achieve - If the `attempted `replication of a vector`is not the reason for use with illustrator - Illustrator does allow file import of all the usual file formats included within NXT such as jpeg, tiff, bitmap, png etc There may be some freeware Ai export programmes out there

It really depends what the output to illustrator is required for - hope that helps
