I keep adding lighting such as spot light, and point lights to my sketch also trying to use an object as a light and none of these seem to work when I render my model and also it takes very long to render any suggestions for my issues?

Can you share the model so that I can try to render it here?
If you zip the file first, you can use the Upload Files button to attach the .zip file to a reply here. Then we could try it. Obviously, the smaller the file, the better for testing.
