Hi,

I hope this not an overly silly question but I am new to IRender nXt.

I notice with a number of the texture type materials there are size dimensions shown (ie. width and height). Is this something I should bear in mind when applying the material to a large area and, if so, what must I do?

Cheers......Stuart

Are you referring to materials in the AccuRender nXt library, such as "Brick Yellow-300mm-Soldier.ArMaterial". If so these are the size of the individual bricks.

If this is not what you mean, can you be more specific? (Is the size in the material name, in the SketchUp material properties, or in the IRender nXt user interface somewhere?)
Al,

in SketchUp, I select a face and then use the 'Select and Edit Materials' brush to apply a material to the face. In the selection box that appears, many of the materials show dimensions under their photograph to the right of the selection box. For example, all materials listed under 'Vegetation' show dimensions.

The Select and Edit Materials wizard is Showing the Materials from the SketchUp library

The sizes shown - here 28 x 28 - are the same sizes you would see if you placed the material from SketchUp and used the SketchUp Material Edit tab to view the size of the texture ( 2'4 x 2'4). This means that the texture image will be repeated every 24" when placed in the model.

This size if for informational purposes only and should mot effect how you use the material. If, after placing the material, you want to change the size of the texture mapping, you can right click on the surface with the material and select Texture/Position, or you can load the SketchUp Material Wizard and change the size directly.
