Al:
I just updated nXt in my PC and it's not showing as a plug-in. It works fine in SU 7 (and works on my laptop in SU 8) but not in PC.
What do I need to do to fix this?
Chris
You need to be a member of Render Plus Software to add comments!
We are having a lot of problems with toolbars in SU 8.
They added a new feature which is supposed to reload them better.
However, when an app is not auto-loaded, but rather loaded from the Plugins folder, the toolbar comes up undocked. If you ever click the 'X' on an undiecked toolbar it can be very hard to get it back.
If you think IRender nXt should be loaded, but you can't find it.
1. Open View/Toolbars and see if IRender nXt appears in the list.
a. Uncheck the IRender nXt toolbar,
b. switch from Large to Small icons (or vice-versa)
c. turn the IRender nxt Toolbar back on
d. switch the size back
See if the helps.
2. If the IRender nXt toolbar is not in the list,
a. Turn on the Ruby console
b. click "IRender Load' again.
c. send me the contents of the Ruby console.
I found the problem.....don't know if this should matter but once I authorized my Pro version of 8, nXt was somehow available?????? Hummmmmmmm..........
nXt is not even listed in the Preferences/Extensions window. Therefore can't be checked or unchecked.
What now?

Download the latest version and try it.
Make sure IRender nXt is checkedin the SketchUp/Preferences/Extension window.
If it is not - select it and see if that helps.
If it is already checked, then:
1. Uncheck it.
2. Restart SketchUp
3. Open the ruby console
4. Check IRender nXt in the SketchUp/Preferences/Extension
5. Send us whatever appeared in the ruby console.
