Fyi. I have RenderPlus nXt and like it. I bought RpTools to create alpha channels with jpeg images. However, it's feature 'Add Alpha Channels to Images' is mostly failures and Bug Splats. Today, it worked twice and failed about twenty times. It would be very productive for me - and I suspect others - to be able to overlay Acrobat pdf files. While this is not exactly rendering, it does add considerable utility to SketchUp in my business. But it is too frustrating. So, I guess I give up. My next idea is to load Photoshop Elements which I have on hand. I have a deadline to meet.
This screen shot is as far as I usually get. Any other action on my part - click any option on the dialog - results in a Bug Splat or other failure.

Further testing reveals something of a pattern. When I use a jpeg image taken with my camera, RpTools works ok. When I use a jpeg file converted from a pdf file via Acrobat "Save As", then it consistently Bug Splats.
