I have any questions about RPS 3d PDF.

1.) How can we hide the toolbars in PDF?
It doesn't work with the hooks in the program

2.) What needs to be adjusted so that a bitmap will apear
as backround in the pdf?
It come in the preview image, but not in the actual pdf.
3.) How can we define a scroll area?
4.) Can we determine a path for the swapfile itself?
How does it work?
For me, these files are stored in the profil memory:
5.) What we need to adjust so that the light is always on
the pdf?

1. This does appear to have stopped working. We used to be able to suppress that U3D toolbar.  I'll look into it.

2. We haven't found a way to add a background image to the U3D display in the PDF.

3. By "Scroll area", do you mean constraints to the navigation tools? Or something else?

4. Not sure what you're referring to here. What do you mean by the swapfile?

5. This also appears to have stopped working. We used to set the lights to whatevr you specified on our options tab, but now it seems to always use the File lights, and our intensity setting has no affect.  I'll try to fix the lights this week.

We posted a new version of RPS 3D PDF, version KI02, with these 2 bugs that you reported fixed.:

1. The toggle for hiding the U3D Image toolbar was not working. This is fixed, so you can create PDFs where the toolbar is not initially available to the viewer, unless they turn it on, or have their PDF preferences set to always display the 3D toolbar.

5. The Lighting Schemes were not working. What you were always getting was the "File" lights, and when you clicked on the "Enable Extra Lighting" toolbar button, you were getting the "Headlight" lighting scheme. Now you can select the Headlamp as the default lighting scheme again.

I looked into background images and there appears to be no way to do this. If you see a 3D PDF where this has been done, please let me know.

You can download this new version at:

Thank you for the new version and your help, we will test it in the next days. To the open points:

2. I haven't seen a 3D-pdf with a backgroundimage within the U3D-Display. But I have seen one with a color gradient in the background. So this seems to be possible.

4. Normaly your program stores the temporary files in documents/settings-drawner within the windows-user-profil under WinXP, I guess. This doesn't work for me because of memory-restrictions within our companys PCs. Our profil-memory is very limited, so big 3D-modells can not be created as 3D-PDF. So it would be nice to be able to change the workingfolder by hand, where the program stores temporary files.

Thanks.

We'll add an option to display the Image in the mode where the toolbar is completely suppressed, as it is in link that you provided.

Also, we'll add the option to use the gradient display, and store the temporary files in a user specified folder.
