In the image below, the bed is covered by a white sheet, defined by a mate material.

I think a bit strange it's rendered so grey.

Sides, directly enlightened by the lamps are white, I agree that the sides facing the camera are grey because in shadow, but I'm a bit surprised about the top of the bed.

Any idea?

I was just having a look around the discussions as im new to this site.

On the very first picture posted if you follow the shadows produced from the shelves on the right, the light does not come from the whole of the table lamp. The light is only coming from the bottom middle of the table light which looks like its under the level of the top of the bed.

I may be wrong but thats what it looks like to me. You could try making the tables with the lamps 50mm higher.

I wonder if, in reality shelves are so opaque but for iRender, they are, so, it considers that no or very few light come on the bed.

I tried to put the lamps 100 mm up and....
