Rendering Farm

"We've been using IRender for sketchup for about 6 months now and we're looking to create a rendering farm to render our jobs. Do you have any suggestions on how we would accomplish that?"

The nXt engine will support a rendering farm. We've been waiting for some client interest.

You will have to purchase the rendering farm after we get it working:

"... It's free right now. Current plan is to start selling it by 11/15. No firm pricing yet-- $200-$300 has been bandied about as an introductory price-- $600 as a final price. Free eval of 2-node farm will always be available."

We will start to get it working, so you can try it out.

Do you hope to create high quality individual renderings, animations, or both?
(Animations will be a little harder for us to implement then individual renderings)

Is anybody else interested, even if it is not free?

I just stumbled across this thread - I was asking about render farms in the summer but it wasn't on the table at that point. I can't find anything on the site about this, did it go anywhere?

We haven't implemented it yet. But it is on our list of things to do next. We add a post here, and also create a new thread when we get something going.
