I was pleased with the IRender nXt trial, but believe the 30 day trial has limitations with the quality output. When imported into and AutoCAD sheet, I was not able to scale drawing up. The rendering files became very poor quality.

Thank you for trying IRender nXt and for completing our survey.

There are no limitations on quality during the trial version. However, the default settings during the trial are set for a low resolution (600 pixel) image, and for just 20 rendering passes. As you increase the resolution or the number of rendering passes, the quality will improve, but the rendering will take longer.

We recommend you use a lower resolution, and fewer passes when you are getting started, and then increase the resolution and number of passes for your final image. This is done on the rendering setup page - on the setup wizard, or on the dialog which appears when you start rendering:

Render Image Size

  • Use Medium for sample renderings until you get lighting and other things set for your model.
Processing time and memory usage are directly (linearly) related to the total number of pixels in your rendering. The higher the resolution, the longer the rendering will take and the more memory it will require.

Stop Rendering After

  • No Limit - check to render indefinitely (until you stop the rendering)
  • Set passes to 40 (default), 20, or less while testing lighting and appearance.
Set either setting to 0 to disable that limit.
Scenes with reflected light and/or area lights will improve the longer you let them render.

Let me know if you have any more questions or observations about IRender nXt.
