Report Totals

Hi guys,

Could you let me know where Im going wrong with this report please.  Im trying to get my reports to give me subtotals (thanks for adding this) and then give me a total count for the number of items reported on.  At the moment what Im getting is an extra count at the top (please see images attached) that mean my total count is incorrect.

In the model I have reported on there are 8 component definitions (some with notes added to show subtotals working).  The count of 8 appears in the top left cell in the report.  But when I look a the total box at the bottom it says 29 but this is actually the count of the component definitons (8) AND the component instances (21).  Is it possible to remove the component definition count completely and display only the total number of collective instances (21)?

Hope this makes sense.

    We were able to track it down and post a new install with the fix.

    Please try the latest version.

    Try uninstalling SpaceDesign. 

    That's where the error message said the error was. We'll try to reproduce the error and fix it.

    Hi Al,

    Just re-installed and something has gone wrong.  Get an error message on starting SU and all my plugin icons / toolbars have completely re-arranged themselves.  Please see attached images.

    Can you help to reolve this please.

    Just to add - tried install, uninstall and install and restarting both SU and my PC and no joy.

    I think there are two fixes which are going to help.

    1.  You had unnamed groups included in your report. We fixed things to never report on groups unless they have either a name or attributes.

    2. If an unnamed group is reported on (because it has attributes) the name is reported as '(Group)'. This should be more helpful than a blank entry in the report.

    Run a report with sub totals turned off and see how many it finds.

     

    Oops - I see you sent a model. Let me try that


    Those first 8 items reported may be in the model someplace.

    (We don't report on Component Definitions - only component Instances and Groups)

    Ive had this with all the files Ive tried to do totals on.  Not sure if I messed something up when I first started playing around with SpaceDesign.  Hope you can help.
