Hello,
I got a script error when I tried to create a linear lamp. I succesfully created bulb.
I think it's the first time I tried to create linear lamp with this version.
I tried to create a lamp in a component.

I tried this and it worked for me.
Can you download the latest version and try again. we seem to remember fixing something about linear lights a week or two ago.
Ok Al, I try
I still have the problem with kk02.
I don't how ruby works, mainly about memory space but I think I have a conflict with a plugin. I'm removing theme one by one to see which one causes the problem but, it strange that ony linear lamp and beam creation fail.
Unable to copy beam group information. Cannot create Beam
(VER: 4.0 KK02nxt - (Error occurred in C:\Program Files (x86)\Render Plus Systems\IRender_nXt\ruby\ardll_lights.rb line: 431)
Although we do sometimes have ruby conflicts, I don't think that they are causing this problem.
This is a different error, trying to create a beam.
Try doing both the Linear Lamp and the Beam in a new, empty model. Or place a single component in the model, if it is failing while placing a light inside of a component.
Open the SketchUp Ruby console before placing the light, so we can get a better trace of any errors, and send us the contents of the ruby console.
If you post any error messages here on the forum, be sure to remove your license number as you paste the error message. (I removed it from your earlier two posts). We don't want other people trying to use IRender nXt using your license number.
I will go test a beam now as well. (Beams can be very tricky...)
I removed all plugins and the problem remains on linear lamp and beam creation.
As I said, I don't remember if I use linear lamp creation with the last 2 or 3 iRender version ( Seven 64 bits).
I get the problem even without any geometry, just after Sketchup load.
Open the SketchUp Ruby console before you place the liner lamp and copy and paste the contents of the Ruby console after it fails, and send it to us at support@renderplus.com.
We will look at the output, and create a special version of IRender nXt for you to try to see if we can trace the problem better.
Al
