Section Plane Shadows

I have been using your iRender for almost 4 years and must say it is a great, powerful program with a simple and intuitive interface very well suited for quick and high quality architectural renderings. Thank you very much for your effort.

Hopefully you would not mind having a feedback from an experienced user. I was wondering if you could implement the rendering of sections with the shadows cast ONLY by the geometry BEHIND the section line. Should you consider it possible please leave a switch enabling the rendering of ALL geometry and ONLY BEHIND the section line. The former is very useful for shadow studies in a dense city environment and your program does it better than your competitors.

We aren't able to make a change like that to the rendering engine.

I was about to suggest that you could place all the geometry in front of the section plane is a group and mark it "Doesn't cast shadows" in SketchUp. But in testing this, I see that we are not processing the SketchUp "don't cast shadows" setting properly. We need to fix that, and then post an update to this thread so you can try it.
