Stop rendering ..... resuming later

Hi,

I'm facing a big problem, I started to render an image but I have to stop my laptop and go.

So I would like to stop rendering, exit everything and power off my laptop, to reload rendering and resume it when it will be possible.

Seems impossible.

Would it be possible to implement that feature?

No, I don't expect we will allow this for quite a while.

Remember, however, that you can stop the rendering (after the next pass), and then Hibernate or Sleep your portable, so that you can resume the portable and resume the rendering later.

Can you do this using the renderfarm ?

I did try a render with 1 slice - stopped the machine - rebooted - and then resumed machine in renderfarm after reboot - the device resumed has there is no render window to see progress I could not tell if this was working. Is the pospone option just for `current`renders?
