test IE 9 with forum

I have had problems in the past uploading images from IE 9.

This is IE 9.0.8112 and it seems to upload OK.

Does anyone remember just what problem they were having?

  • Seems unreasonable - I will not install a new browser beacause Ning cannot hack it - do other forums have the same problems ?

  • Ning called me last week to see how my Ning Networks were going.

I told them I was unhappy with the fact that my users cannot use IE9 to attach files.

The said that they were starting to implement some IE 9 fixes, and we should try again.

Then they said that I should tell my users to use a different browser, and that we would just have to wait for Microsoft to "fix" IE 9. I told them that it was not reasonable for me to tell all my users that they could not use IE 9 on our network.

  • I have also just upgraded my Java to V6 update 27 and still no joy with either 1 or 2 file upload - I can upload images OK

  • Just after I wrote that the single attachment had failed, if cam through. But it took about 2 minutes to upload a small 74KB file. Perhaps it is just really slow.
  • Here is an IE upload of just one document.

  • I am currently trying to upload 3 attachments at once from a "Remote Desktop" machine with IE 9.

    It is hung.

I will try again with just one document.

  • I will try at home later when I have a little more time - I sometimes at work run explorer through a AOL desktop and this may also cause a problem - the integral speedcache and filter may be the cause
