The are 3 ways to use other faster machines to do the rendering using IRender nXt.
Batch Rendering

Cloud Rendering
Batch Rendering
"Batch rendering" is a way to have another faster or unused computer do the rendering process for you. The idea is to save all the data that you would need to do a rendering, and then instead of launching the process immediately, you copy that data to another machine (or the cloud) and start the process there. That machine doesn't have to be licensed, it just has to have the software to do the rendering installed. So it's a way to get the job done on a faster computer without tying up your computer.
Batch rendering is discussed more here:

the nXt Render Farm
The nXt Render Farm uses Local computers for rendering, so several computers can be working on the same process. Those computers watch a common folder on the network for a rendering job to be placed there, and then each renders small slices of the job until the job gets finished. Then the slices get reassembled into the finished rendering.
To use the Render Farm properly, with multiple computers, you would need to purchase a nXt Render farm license for $299.00. http://www.renderplus.com/wp2/wk/Render_Farm_Purchase.htm
Here is the page that describes how the render farm works:

Cloud Rendering
Cloud rendering is really Batch Rendering, only you rent fast computers in the cloud to do the work. It's worth looking into. It's not really that expensive.
Here is a link that discusses "cloud rendering" and IRender nXt that would be worth reading:
