Something new as I've never had this problem before.  Created a small piece of glass, edited the material via nxt changing the translucency.  Nothing changed visibly with the material as it usually does, but when I went back to edit the material, translucency defaulted back to 0.  Tried setting the default material value to glass and then thick glass....no change.  I did create a new model and didn't have the problem so it must be something in the model I have.  Model is way too large to upload.  Anyone have any suggestions as I'm desperate trying to produce final renderings today

If you really mean the Translucency setting, and not the Transparency setting, then I would not expect anything to ever change in SketchUp after you change the translucency setting from our material editor. We only apply the "transparency" setting to the "Opaque" setting for the SketchUp material. I don't believe that translucency should affect the SketchUp model.

Have you tried making sure that the same material is on both sides of the face, and have you tried reversing the face?

Did you try renaming the material, or making a brand new material with a different name to put on the face?

sorry, meant transparency setting.  Can't change it

I got the file. i started a rendering to see what it looks like.

Can you send me a picture of what is wrong?

And the name of the material that you cannot change?

And maybe steps to reproduce the problem?

We posted a new version, NF27, with a fix for this.
