  Are you using the latest stable version? Google have changed how SU8 loads menus and therefore any NXT version prior to SU8 will not load -If not it may be worth adding a discuusion in forum so Al\Rich Hart (the developers)may be able to help directly - I cannot think of any other specific issue - your description sounds just like pre SU8\september versions - certainly although it as a few small bugs the latest stable version (JI28) seems to load OK.
