Is there any file size  limitation to convert Skecth up ((.SKP)) to 3D pdf using RPS 3D pdf.

My skp file is around 20 M.B. and sketch up application hangs when I give Create pdf command.

Mustafa Shahid,

Can you send me one of your files and I will try it.

Just email me the small file.

If you want to send me a large file, please go to this page:

http://www.renderplus.com/htm/uploads.htm

and follow the instructions.

Thank you,

Rich

I have send you one file thru "yousendit". Please try it at your end.

Actually I am not able to convert a small file of less than 2 MB also.

When I was using the trial version of RPS 3D PDF I could make 3D pdf but not now.

It rendered for me OK from SketchUp 8, and also from the standalone RPS 3D PDF  application.

Are you exporting it from the toolbar in SketchUp 7, or are you running the stand-alone application?

I was exporting it from toolbar in sketch up 7. Now I tried with stand-alone application and it has worked. Thank you.

When we zoom, rotate , pan the model, it turns to wire mesh for the time being. Is it possible to have smooth movement of the model without any wire mesh?

Dear Rich,

Still I am unable to convert file of 20 MB size even with standalone application.I am sending the file to you. Please check it at your end. This is the project under progress at jalgaon, India.

I tried to convert the file that you sent us.

I ran out of memory trying to convert that file.

Sorry, but it is just too large for us to convert it to a U3D.

We do not have a way to change the way the model looks when it pans, etc.

I suspect that the U3D plugin for Acrobat does that to try to improve performance.

I know you can get better results for this if you set a very low Framerate Threshold in Edit/Preferences/3D & Multimedia
