When using Arroway textures and you create a material from one of their images, are the values that come into the texture set the correct values for the texture? or do they need to be modified ? If they need to be modified is there a guide line to use for wood, concrete, etc...?

We believe we are interpreting them pretty well. We did this by trying to match some of the sample renderings on the Arroway web site.

We use the numbers in the names of the files, but alter them by a factor which seems to work.

We multiply the Diffuse map by 0.80. This lets some cole show through if you want to alter the color of the overall material. (d100 below becomes 0.8)

We multiply the bump value by 5.0 and make it negative. (b015 below becomes -0.75)

We use Opacity directly (o100 below becomes 1.0)

We multiply the Specular value by 0.25 (s100 below becomes 0.25)

If you see some consistent changes we should make, let us know.

(Default values derived from file names)

Al,

Thanks for the information. This gives me a good guideline to follow. I will be in touch if i find anything different.

All the best,

Nick
