I entered and installed plugin license as an admin user. I have multiple users that login to this computer and the license for the plugin needs to be entered in for every user that logs into this machine. Is there a way I can change this?

Thanks

We used to save the license number and authcode to the registry for both the current users and all users by placing it in the registry. That worked fine for years.

We started having some problems this year with the registry values not sticking between sessions for some users, possibly because of permissions problems in the new versions of Windows or registry protection software that is installed, so we went back to the old way of saving the values in a .INI file in the user's AppData folder.

This does create the problem where each user would have to enter the license number and click on Check License and Validate on our license dialog, but it seems to have solved the problem of the license not sticking between Windows sessions.

In order to do what you want to do, you should still be able to put your license number and authcode in the registry in these locations:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Render Plus Systems\nXtRender\License

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Render Plus Systems\nXtRender\Authcode

so that all users would be able to run as authorized when the first load the software.

I just tested that here and it worked for me.

Here is a snapshot of my registry entries (Notice I put them in the WOW6432Node section, since I'm on a 64 bit machine.)

After discussing this, we plan to add a button to our license dialog to let you this without opening the registry, but you would have to do it manually right now.
