Hello,

After checking my lights and according to you light query tool, all my ceiling lights are set to channel 3.

Anyway, in iRender it's not the case, 2 of them are still ajustables via channel 2. Why?

Regards,

Alain

We set the rectangular and circular ceiling lights from the Light Wizard to channel 3.

But it you make your own ceiling lights, you need to set the lighting channel yourself. (We don't really know that lights you make yourself are ceiling lights)

If these lights were downloaded from the IRender Ready components on the 3D Warehouse, and were not in channel 3, then that is a mistake. Report it, and we will need to fix it.

No it's not ready components but made with rectangular lights, set on the "default channel", channel 2 I suppose.

But as I said and as you can verify on the attached model, it's normally set to 3 by hand, and the query light wizard se the lights set to channel 3. So I think it's not normal that the renderer still find channel 2.

The Light Query function is still somewhat of a work in progress.

Please post or send us that model and we'll see if the Light Query funcion is getting the wrong information about some of the lights.

Meanwhile, try checking  the lights by right clicking on them to check the channels.

I doubt that Light Query is wrong here, for me iRender nXt doesn't use the same channel info as Sketchup plugins so it could possible that light channel could exists twice in the light component.

The model is available in the first post (test lights.zip). Can't see it?

Oh...there it is. Thanks.

Hi Rich,

I didn't have any news about this problem.
