I have drawn a sketch up  model file size about 29MB , when I start to render on Irendernxt for a resolution of 960 by 480, it still okay, but when I raise the resolution to 1280 by 640, it comes up to an error every time when it reads to the geometry of 98% and come out with check temp file size, I have 16 GB ram size, with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @3.40GHz , 64 bits WIN 7, google sketch up 8 Pro....

So it sounds like everything gets saved to the hard drive OK, but the error occurs while we're reading the data. I cannot think of  reason that would explain why just changing the resolution would cause an error while we are reading the data.

Could you zip up the "batch Folder", where we save all the data for the rendering at this larger resolution, and send it to me? Then I could see if I can duplicate the error while reading your data.

You can use this link to send us a large file;

http://www.renderplus.com/htm/uploads.htm

The " batch folder" is where we save all the data for the renderer. You can get the path to that folder by looking at:

Also, could you post a picture of the error dialog box? Maybe that will give us a clue.

Thanks Rich for notice of my problem, see the photo that I posted on the album, that's the maximum size that I can render, when I raise the resolution the software just run up to the writing geometry procedure to 98% (about an hour) then appear a window telling me there's an error...of temp file space is not enough...that I cant understand...my computer storage space is very big, and the file size is just 25MB only... I am running the render again and see rather I can save the batch debug or not, then I will upload it to you and see now to solve the problem, by the way, can you suggest any method that I can speed up the render time?  I try not to use sketchup download models already, cause many of them is too big, I already minimize all the model size and simplify all the models, but since the space I have to work out is very big, there must be a lot of elements, so what is your professional suggestion?

Thanks a lot,

best regards

Albert Cheng

I misread your original post, thinking that the error was occurring after the data had been extracted.

I now see that the error is occurring when saving the data.

Is it possible to send me that SketchUp model, so that I could try to duplicate the problem here?

I had tried to redo the sketchup model once again, but the result are the same, so please try to figure out what is the problem is, I have upload the sketchup model to you thanks again.

I keep trying to render it, but I cannot render it at all.

I don't get any error messages or exception errors from the renderer on my 64 bit machine. I do get the dialog that IRenderBatch has stopped working on my 32 bit machine.

It just stops rendering, no matter what resolution I set, or what other setting I might try.

I'll try to make the model smaller and see if I can ever render it at all.

The trouble is that the model is so large that it takes half a day just to start the rendering process.

Regards,

Rich

Sir try to purge your sketch up model before rendering your masterpiece. :-)

Thank you for your advice, John,  I have done that already, and also minimize all the material jpg file too, but there are such many things in the file, so ...I have redo the model again and it doesn't help much...
