I purchased the student license of irender nxt a while ago and just found out about RPC's today. I downloaded it several times and each time it lets me go into the applications but when I click the RPC button on the irender nxt toolbar in sketchup, it asks me to download it again like I never did. I don't understand-why can I not get it to work for me??

I saw someone asked the same question below and that KD22 needed to be downloaded? That was the space design plugin and told me I had a 30 day trial. I still uninstalled and reinstalled the RPC and the same thing keeps happening, it tells me I need to install it. I need to use this for my senior thesis design due Monday!!

Please help! Thanks

When that post you referred to mentioned a new version KD22, that was the latest version of IRender nXt at the time.

Now there is a newer version, KD27nxt, which will also include that RPC fix.

Download and and install that, and see if it doesn't fix the problem for you.

Download it from:

http://www.renderplus.com/php/download_links.php

I'll have to start always putting the suffix on the latest version number to avoid confusion like this in the future.

I uninstalled my irender nxt to install KD27nxt and when I click download nothing happens and I click the link that says if download doesn't start shortly click here, and it still doesn't work..I restarted my computer twice, and still the same.

Actually I just got it to work, I used internet explorer instead of firefox and that seemed to be the problem. Thank you!

Great.

Let us know if you still need help getting RPCs to work.

I got the RPC's to work but all of them have watermarks. Does that happen even with the free trial?

I'm not sure.

Can you post a picture of what you mean by watermarks?

I've not seen that before.

Oh, OK....

I usually just use the few demo RPCs that ArchVision lets you download, the Volkswagon Beetle, Tina, and a few others free demos. These should not have watermarks.

They let distribute a few of those:

Demo_VW_Beetle4.rpc

TinaDemo.rpc

Steelcase_Leap_Chair.rpc

They are in the Samples folder folder, usually:

C:\Program Files\Render Plus Systems\IRender_nXt\Samples

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Render Plus Systems\IRender_nXt\Samples

Obviously they let you download other RPCs now with watermarks until you purchase them. If you want to use them without watermarks, I'm sure you'll have to purchase them from ArchVision.

ok thank you!
