Hello

I just downloaded the RPS 3D PDF and tried to install it, but I got the error message you see.

What is wrong?

Sincerely

After we install our files for the plugin, we call a Microsoft redistributable routine, to make sure the necessary Microsoft DLLs are installed on your computer.

This message is coming from the the 2005 redistributable which we named "vcredist_x86.exe".

Trying to translate the message you sent I get:

"Make sure the file exists and that you can access at the"

which seems to indicate that it was not successful in extracting "vcredist.msi" and could not run the it's install.

We place a copy of that executable in the folder where we install the plugin files for RPS 3D PDF. You'll find it at either

C:\Program Files\Render Plus Systems\3D_PDF\redist\vcredist_x86.exe

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Render Plus Systems\3D_PDF\redist\vcredist_x86.exe

if you are running on a 64 bit machine.

Could you use Windows Expolrer to navigate to that file and then right click on it and select "Run as Administrator" to see if it works for you that way?

No, it did not work.

Unfortunately we didn't write that executable redist file, it comes from Microsoft.

Perhaps the software will still work for you without running that redist file.

Did RPS 3D PDF appear for you as a plugin in in SketchUp?

Hello

When I installed Render combo pack, I got this massage every time. In English is:

"An error occurred while reading from the fileC: \ User \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ Ixp000.tmp \ vcredist.msiMake sure the file exists and that you can access it."

Every part appear as a plug in in Skechup but nothing works.

When you get that error, can you look in Windows Explorer and see if you can find that folder and see if that file:

C: \ User \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ Ixp000.tmp \ vcredist.msi

exists?

It may be that, even though you are running the install as an administrator, you don't have permission to write to that folder or file. Let me now if that file is there, and whether you can run it.

We need to be able to install the MicroSoft redists.

Could you try downloading the redist directly from MicroSoft and installing it that way?

Here is the link to the redist file:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3387

Please download it from them and try to install it. They have further instuctions on installing it on that page.
