Hi Al
Have noticed that when autosaving in native format (may be with all formats) that the saved image is being saved `mid pass` and therefore there is `banding `from render evident - this is really not good - the batch renderer froze on me last night and the resultant auto save is not usable due to banding. The image below (I have tweaked the contrast on image below - if it uploads - to make it more apparent. I have noticed the last 5 or so renders being like this.
Thanks
Boothy
Still having problems uploading\attaching images - I will send via email

I think this is happening with `mid`render auto saving - if the render runs full term it does not seem to occur
Boothy
Thanks
The image above was quite a large file\model and therefore may be relevant to a lag betweeen save and render continuation - I have noticed recently the autosave seems to save in tandem with continued render process where in earlier versions the render seemed to pause until file was saved. I would therefore suggest testing on large files - I am not sure if a `quick` test on a small model with provide the same results.
Thanks
Boothy
Thanks Boothy - what I intend to to is to insert a pause in the AutoSave process and watch our trace messages to make sure that we have not allowed the rendering to continue until the AutoSave is complete.
In general, anything we do at the end of a pass should suspend the other threads until the process is complete. However, it is possible, (I won't know until we examine the source code), that we are posting a message to the application to perform the autosave rather than performing the AutoSave in line. (Posting a message is a windows trick to allow other threads to complete a task rather than waiting for it.)
