Good morning Al,

I have a fairly complex design I’m working on in Sketchup.

I want to render room details like bathrooms etc, but the rendering process takes ages as if it’s rendering the whole project.

Is there a way of just setting the rending process to render only what it sees on the screen?

Can you either hide the geometry outside of the room, or use layers to turn it off.

Hi

For speed I sometimes just copy the part of the model I want to render - paste it into a new sketchup session and render it there, this leaves the original model 'intact' but the render is fast as it's only processing the bit of the model that is relevant.

Regards

Mike

Thanks for the tip, Mike.

Note: If you also want to take over the rendering settings from the first model to the second, their are a couple of paths:

1. Save the first model into a new name and remove all geometry before pasting the geometry into the new model. The rendering settings saved with the model will be preserved.

2. Paste the geometry into the new model, and use the More Setup Tab to save settings from the first model into a file and load the settings into the new model
