Does anyone made a SU model render with a translucent face (custom photo texture), and the result was a color shadow according to texture color?

I want to import a stained glass window picture for a cathedral interior, and I need to know if irender nxt could project a color shadow on the floor from the outside sunlight. If it is posible, please help me with some instructions.

Thank you

Vali

Hi Vali

I imported an image and applied it as a texture.

Set it to 50% transperancy

Shone a spotlight on it and rendered it 'Int no sun'

The result is below.

You will need to adjust the light and transparency to get the result you want

but it works in principle.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, it works. By the way. Best result are with outside texture 50% transparency, inside texture - the same texture but make unique texture activated and no transparency. After that irender works fine with spotlight and the sun light, but remember to make some selfglow for the inside texture, for natural stained glass refraction.
