I am trying to render a section cut of a building, so the interior lighting and exterior daylighting are both important. I am playing with Ariel Vision and having some difficulty getting the interior to render bright enough. Does anyone have any experience with this or setting recommendations?

Hi Serina

I use IrenderNXT so not sure if the following also applies to ariel vision.

Set up your scene and place your interior lights in specific channels (i use between 5 and 7)

Set up your section plane and do a render.

After the render is complete open the Lighting Channels Dialogue

(there is a tutorial on the site explaining its use.)

Using this you can adjust the levels of the lights in the interior.

You use the Sun and Sky settings to adjust the level of the exterior lighting (these are the first two channels in the Lighting Dialogue.)

This gives you full control over the relative brightness of the interior and exterior lighting.

Hope this helps
