Hi,

I had problems earlier at work trying to render a model of some desks and kept getting error reports. I thought I would try the model at home to see if this would make a difference, it didn't! When I try and render this model it keeps coming up with error report.

I have attached a screen shot of what I get. Could someone please help me?

This is very frustrating, especially as the model seems to hang for a while, while trying to process the image to be rendered, then it fails!

Thanks in advance.

Can you use the Uploads tab at the top of this windows and send us the model.

Be sure to add a note so we remember which problem the model is related to.

The error message indicates that SketchUp ran out of memory while exporting the model.

Is the model fairly large?

If you send it to us, we will take a look at it.

Hi Al, Just up loading the model now. The model is about 60mb. I've rendered larger models then this.

Thanks for looking at this.

I'm still working on this. But it is very slow.

One of the first things we do, before rendering, is to count the faces in the model. It took 10 or 15 minutes just to count the faces. (There were 1,566,334). This should not take this long.

It is still extracting (a couple of hours later), so I don't have anything to report yet. However, I suspect the model is just too complex. (Perhaps the buttons on the keyboards have too many faces, or some part of the chairs)

Are the chairs and apple computer yours or from the 3D warehouse?

Hi al,

Both models are from the ware house. I made a couple of changes to the chair and the computer, I added the screen image. The changes I made to the chair where the arm rests and the 2 circles either side of the seat!

Thinking about it now the 2 circles either side of the chair might have quiet a few faces! not sure if this would be the problem! I'll try and remove these to see if that helps.
