Hi All,

Is it possible to render a sketchup model with an art stroke added to it from the style selection so it looks cartoon ish, but with reflections etc....!!!!!! I did try it on std settings but didn't work.

Hopefully this makes sense!

Thanks

Fred

We are able to overlay Sketchy edges on a rendering, but we don't have any way to show reflections of Sketchy edges.

You can include lighting and reflections, but not reflections of Sketchy Edges.

Also, see our NprTools product for more non-photorealistic ideas: NprTools

Hi Al,

How do you apply these settings? Is there a tutorial available on how to overlay sketchy edges?

Thank you for the info I will look at the Nprtools.

See: Foreground Tab

If you set the Foreground option to "Use Edge Lines for Foreground", then the edges you have turned on in SketchUp (normal, extended, sketchy, etc.) will be extracted from the SketchUp model and applied to the rendering.

The foreground settings tab can apply watermarks, logos, etc. to your rendering. It can also be used to overlay the SketchUp edge lines onto the rendering.

There are 4 basic modes:

1. Foreground image - pasted in front of rendering.
2. Logo Watermark on image
3. Pattern masks
4. Overlay SketchUp edges

Here is a hidden line view of the edges for the space ship example above. (You to not turn on hidden line view in SketchUp, IRender nXt does that automatically when it extracts the edges to apply to the rendering.) You just leave SketchUp in a textured view.
