I am currently on version 4.0 KK02nxt.  I've looked for a version 5 comparison table / new features list and can't find it, could someone point me in the right direction or high light the improvements.

How can I find out what version of RPTreemaker I have?  Looked at all the obvious places - no luck.

Final thought: Any development on the programming side to use the graphics card as a rendering resource.  Vray says that it has an option to switch from CPU to GPU in its setup box. Graphics cards, as you no doubt know, are pretty amazing things these days.  With the prospect of simply slipping in a $300 card or buying at least a new motherboard and CPU and all that hassle. I know which I go to first.  There are probably people out there who already have high end cards for gaming in their desktops.

Al did make this list of what had been added to Version 5.0:

If you are running IRender nXt, you should just be using the TreeMaker function from the IRender nXt toolbar. That's always the latest one. I wouldn't recommend running the stand-alone RpTreeMaker plugin at all when IRender nXt is loaded.

Thanks Rich for the quick reply.

The version 5.0 new features list is very helpful.  I think the "tileable textures" option is available in 4.0 as well - I use it a fair bit and think it is great.

Is there anybody out there who has found features in version 5 that are a good addition to those in v 4?

Your reply about TreeMaker makes perfect sense and I shall try to use the program more often.
